文藝復興時期 John Dowland (1563 - 1626) 道蘭

常被認為是英國有史以來最偉大的歌曲作曲家, 也是當時歐洲最著名的魯特琴家, Dowland擅長將辭曲巧妙地配搭, 細緻的融合在當事無出其右者, 他的器樂曲, 多與其歌曲相關, 有名的Lachrymae 改編自歌曲’Flow, my teares' (1600), 其廣為流傳的程度由文學作品中多次提到可見一般, 由於得不到英國女皇的親睬, Dowland屢次周遊歐洲大陸, 曾是丹麥王Christian IV的宮廷魯特琴師, The Frog Galliard , galliard是三拍子輕快的舞曲, frog是誰? 現在已無明確的證據.
